Sample itineraries / A day in Kusadasi-Ephesus area... The day is designed for our guests arriving Kusadasi Port for the first time. Kusadasi is a middle sized summer resort town by the Aegean Sea, offering guests clean environs, sandy beaches, a touristy market, restaurants mostly serving western style and some local food. The port is located very central town, only a few minutes walk away from the market area. Most of the cruise ships dock or (rarely) tender in Kusadasi; 20 minutes drive away from Ephesus. Having a full day tour with us in Kusadasi/Ephesus area... assuming a start from the port at 8.30am, finishing back at the port around 4-5pm, guests have time to see/do: • Ephesus • Terrace Houses of Ephesus • Museum of Ephesus a small museum with a fine collection of findings from Ephesus / not overwhelming - well completes what guests see in Ephesus • Temple of Artemis one of the Seven Wonders of Ancient World... not much left to this day... so, please lower your expectations • House of Virgin Mary located 10 minutes uphill driving from Ephesus • Visit to a local mosque if interested / might be a very good idea if the ship does not stop in Istanbul • The market of Kusadasi if interested / only 5-10 minutes walking away from the port... we plan the day so that guests can at least spend some time in this market for souvenir shopping |
